Story::

Ringmaster Clause takes place before the events of the previous Maimie’s Toybox game, Queen Mary’s Script. This time, players join Clause as he’s first created. Through his naivety, he struggles to learn the basic rules of the world of humans. It’s an unfair world for dolls and in his frustration, he soon escapes the safety of his glass cage after the death of a dear friend. Along the way, he meets the colorful Cat and stubborn Signora. Together, the three set out to gather up a troupe and create a circus just for dolls.  But circus life isn’t always so happy as shown in books and pictures.  Clause soon learns the dark secrets of the circus troupe and comes to realize that it’s not only humans who bear two faces.  With a longing for home, Clause seeks to put out the fire he started.

Characters::

 

Clause - A modern day Pinocchio fresh to the world. He wants nothing more than to stay with Nicholas for as long as he lives.  

Nicholas - A sickly young boy who is always smiling. 

[picture pending] Peter - A doll creator famous for his sturdy creations that lack only in love and feeling. 

Cat - A dandy who cares for nothing but good music and good girls.

Signora Rosaura - A young doll that wants to do nothing more than to save others.

Albert- A doll that looks up to Cat and has a way with stuffed animals. 

Rosie- An acclaimed costume designer doll with the grace of a flower petal

Punch - A pirate playing, spirited actress with the gift of song.

  Hisame - A doll made on the same day as Amane. She looked forward to learning all about new countries and people.

  Amane - A doll made on the same day as Hisame. The weaker, more timid doll of the two that wanted to stay home.

  Lampwick - A lanky young boy with his nose dripping.

  Amanda - A young apprentice to Peter.

Game::  
The game is much in the same style as Queen Mary’s Script with more puzzles and less focus on fighting. There is only one ending, but a different surprise awaits players at the end of the game if they explored well enough.   

You do not have to play Queen Mary’s Script in order to play this game. In fact, it’s better if you play this one first as QMS spoils some things for this game.
